On successful completion of this module students will be able to:

  2. Critically synthesis the identified literature landscape for the research enquiry;
  3. Critically assess and compare research paradigms, methodologies and methods;
  4. Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of any ethical considerations in line with university processes and BERA guidelines;
  1. Demonstrate, justify and synthesise appropriate methods for data analysis;
  2. Evidence critical thinking about research outcomes on practice.

  4. Critically reflect on the contribution of the independent study to furthering knowledge in the field of study;
  1. Critically summarise the outcomes of the study on enhancing personal and professional practice.

  1. Critically evaluate and synthesise selected theories and scholarship which relate to reflective practice;
  1. Demonstrate the practice of reflective writing;
  2. Demonstrate and critically apply reflexivity;
  3. Critically read and evaluate autobiography as an example of reflective practice/s; Demonstrate high-level and sustained autonomy in planning and practising reflection and other writing.

  1. Demonstrate a critical understanding of selected philosophies informing values and practice;
  1. Critically evaluate the possible potential and benefits of a values-informed approach to improving organisational outcomes;
  1. Critically reflect and apply a values-informed analysis to personal and professional practice;
  1. Identify and critically synthesise solution-focused case study/ies from a values-informed perspective;
  1. Evaluate the role of values in informing high-level organisational strategy

  1. Identify and clarify own position, purpose and values vis-à-vis the research focus;
  2. Critically read, synthesise and evaluate relevant scholarship and wider literature within the specialist field;
  1. Carry out original research within an ethical framework;
  2. Critically interrogate research findings;
